Description
The Xylem-Bell & Gossett 52-121-998-802A Mechanical Seal is used in hydronic rotating pumps in boilers and chilled water loops so that the rotating shaft of the pump does not leak into the stationary housing in HVAC systems. It uses the accuracy of sealing elastomers to ensure the non-existence of fluid, as well as the ability to allow movement of a shaft when it is operating. It is mounted between the impeller and the housing, which creates a secure seal.
