Description
The Trane CNT0993 Limit Switch Auto Reset is a small safety switch used in many Trane HVAC products, such as furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps. It acts as an auto-reset mechanism to protect the system from damage resulting from fault conditions such as excess pressure or temperature. The system automatically suspends operation when a malfunction is identified by the limit switch. The CNT0993 automatically resets after the fault is corrected, unlike a manual reset switch, to avoid permanent damage to the equipment and make operation easier.
