The Sporlan Controls 401408 Liquid Line Filter Drier is a refrigerant conditioning component that is installed in HVAC systems to eliminate moisture, acid and particulate contaminants in the stream. It has a 5/8 inch SAE connection to fit into liquid line piping and has desiccant media that traps and retains impurities as the refrigerant passes through. This is placed between the condenser and expansion system, where it assists in ensuring a clean flow of refrigerant.
