The Spirax-Sarco 58452 Ft-75 is a 1-1/4 inch F&T trap that effectively removes condensate from steam lines. It has a sturdy cast iron body and a trustworthy bimetallic thermostat. The bimetallic element contracts as condensate builds up in the trap, opening a valve and releasing the condensate. This process is initiated by the cooler condensate. The bimetallic element swells as steam reaches the trap, shutting the valve and halting steam loss. By avoiding corrosion, water hammer, and insufficient heat transmission, this autonomous function contributes to the maintenance of system efficiency.
