Description
The Robertshaw 1830-733 Pilot-Electrode Assembly 2SL-60 provides ignition and flame sensing for HVAC systems. The electrode, designed for heat, provides a high-voltage spark that helps ignite the gas at the pilot or directly at the burner, starting the combustion process. The electrode then acts as a flame sensor by checking for the flame using a small electrical current called flame rectification. This lets the control module know that the burner is operating safely. The system does not detect a flame, it cuts off the gas to prevent any hazards and ensure both durability and safety in heating.
