The Rheem-Ruud 611043 Thermal Expansion Valve is one of the crucial components when it comes to fine tuning the operations of HVAC systems especially those that use R-410A refrigerant added to the system. As with any component, make sure that your selecting a switch that is compatible with your air conditioning system, this switch is designed for the 2-ton air conditioning system and has a 3/8 inch inlet and 1/2 inch outlet size and the inlet and outlet connection is sweat. The TxV controls the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator to the required temperature and pressure increasing the efficiency of the system and reducing the compressor load. Refrigerant control features include a bleed capacity of 10% & a capillary tube & equalizer tube of 30” & 18”, respectively. The 1/8” sweat O.D. equalizer connection offers well methods of pressure balance.
