The Nordyne 921486 Microchannel Replacement Coil Assembly is a high-performance device made for HVAC systems specifically on air heat pump and conditioner. This replacement coil includes microchannel technology which enhances heat exchange efficiency through the use of a grid-like configuration of tiny channels closely spaced together. Compared to the usual fin-and-tube coils, thermal conductivity is enhanced while surface area increases as a result of this unique design. Furthermore, installation process becomes simpler due to the small size and light weight of the microchannel coils hence they reduce overall volume of HVAC units.
