Description
The Nordyne 626508R Auto Limit Switch is used to control temperature in HVAC systems. It works by measuring the temperature within a system, especially on the heating components such as gas furnaces. The temperature gets to a pre-set value, usually between 210°F and 250°F, the switch turns off the power or the gas supply to the unit. This is to avoid the system from getting too hot and, in the process, avoid damaging the internal components due to heat. It can be reset the temperature is back to normal, and the system can continue to operate as it was before.
