The Lennox 36K46 Electrodes with Leads is a replacement component kit for Lennox gas-fired furnaces. These electrodes are crucially essential to the safe and effective ignition process of your furnace. When igniting, the high voltage module in your furnace applies an electrical current to the electrodes. There exists a current in the form of the radiation emitted which forms a spark at the tips of the electrodes. The gas produced by the gas valve is ignited by the spark produced by the electrodes and then burnt to produce heat for your home. Electrodes are necessary for the safe usage of a furnace.
