Description
The Carrier 331709-768 Thermal Expansion Valve kit is for HVAC systems with R-22 refrigerant. A TXV is a must-have component that controls the flow of refrigerant within the system. The TXV opens as cool liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator coil and allows the optimal amount of refrigerant to flow through. The cool liquid absorbs heat from the surrounding air, and turns it into a gas. The TXV then limits the flow as the refrigerant heats up in the evaporator as none from the evaporator coil may freeze up so much liquid is not allowed to enter it. This Carrier TXV kit is perfect for 3/8″ refrigerant lines and is compact at 4.4″ long, 6.4″ wide and 3.3″ high.
