Description
The Nordyne 920806 Defrost Control Board is an essential component in an HVAC system, particularly if it has a defrost cycle. It mainly controls and manages the entire process of defrosting so that there is maximum efficiency while keeping off ice from building up on evaporator coils. To be able to tell when it is time for a defrost cycle, this board monitors such parameters as temperature, humidity and fan performance among others. When it is turned on, some processes start taking place such as turning off compressor and starting up the defrost heater to melt the accumulated frost.
