The Nordyne 626449R Auto Limit Switch is an essential component element used in HVAC systems, to regulate temperature in heating appliances. It works between 225 and 250 degrees Fahrenheit and is essential to maintaining furnace safety because it will shut the furnace down if it gets too hot. The insert size is 3”-1/8”, which means it can fit furnaces, therefore making installation and integration easy. It works as a result of measuring the temperature of the airflow over the heat exchanger. When the temperature goes high, the switch cuts off the power supply to the heaters reducing the risk of system damage and increasing safety.
