Description
The Rheem-Ruud 61-102211-02 thermal expansion valve (TXV) is designed to work only with 3-ton air conditioning systems that use R-410A refrigerant. A TXV works to maintain an optimal performance of the system based on the existing evaporator temperature with regard to refrigerant flow. For this reason, when the evaporator is cooling, the TXV opens to allow more of the refrigerant to be admitted but shuts when the evaporator is cold. This TXV is designed to work with home and light commercial air conditioning systems that require a cooling capacity of up to 3 tons
