Description
The Taco 49-075T-2 Bronze Air Separator removes entrained air from water circulating through hydronic piping. As the fluid passes through the separator, suspended air separates from the water and moves toward the venting point instead of remaining within the circulation path. The bronze body form the internal water passage, while the 3/4-inch NPT connection provide the threaded interface with compatible piping. Rated at 150 PSI, the unit is suited to hot-water heating and chilled-water circuits in HVAC systems. This arrangement reduces trapped air around pumps, piping and heat transfer sections, keeping the hydronic circuit clear of accumulated air during circulation.
