Hard is water that contains high levels of mineral the common ones are calcium and magnesium which tend to deposits on internal features like heat exchangers. This scale buildup decreases efficiency limits performance and in the worst case can cause equipment to fail. The Control Insert operates through a concept The insert has a unique material which attracts and holds hard water minerals as water passes through the HVAC system. This keeps the minerals from sticking to heat exchangers and other parts of the systems as well.
