The Xylem-Hoffman Specialty 404218, also known as the Ft175H-4, is a 1-inch, 175 trap intended for use in hydronic heating and cooling applications. It works by snagging and clearing silt and debris from the water flow so that they can’t get to pumps, valves, and other machinery and cause damage.
