Description
The Fenwal 35-655910-991 Hot Surface Ignition Control Module is used for proper ignition in HVAC systems especially in gas fired application. Using a hot surface ignition technique, it warms up an igniter to about 2500° Fahrenheit, thus guaranteeing gas ignition without the use of a spark. The module has a pre-purge time of 45 seconds and an inter-purge time of 4 seconds to operate safely and remove any unburned gas before ignition. It is a 24V part, it is suitable for use in furnaces and water heaters. Some advantages are Protection of life through auto turn-off in instances of ignition malfunction, save on energy and easy to use.
