The Sporlan Controls 164560 3/8″ x 1/2″ 1.5-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve 5 feet Cap R-22 is a refrigeration element to control the flow of refrigerant entering the evaporator coil that is applied in the HVAC systems. It also reacts to the superheat variations by modifying the refrigerant delivery to maximize heat uptake and ensure efficiency of the system. The valve is normally fitted in either air conditioning or heat pump systems, and the valve is designed to ensure the correct operation of the evaporator, prevent freezing of the coils, and also support maintaining constant cooling capacity.
