The Carrier 332368-759 Thermal Expansion Valve Kit is an essential part of your HVAC system that guarantees proper and effective cooling. The TXV works similarly to the pressure-controlled valve, it is sensitive to the temperature in the evaporator coil. When cool air is being made, the TXV opens up to allow more liquid refrigerant into the coil. With an increase in the coil temperature, the TXV reduces the amount of refrigerant flow to avoid freezing of the evaporator while at the same time enhancing heat absorption.
