Description
The Conbraco Industries 27-401-01 Steam Gauge Siphon Loop is a safeguard equipment needed in HVAC systems to safeguard the steam pressure gauges. This siphon loop has a 180° orientation and is made of brass it is 5 5/8 inches long. Its main purpose is to shield the gauge against direct exposure to high-temperature condensate which is and interferes with the reading. The steam entering the loop condenses into liquid as a barrier is created by filling the siphon with water before installation to absorb heat and cool the steam before it gets to the gauge. This mechanism not only provides necessary and accurate pressure readings but also reduces the possibility of gauge failure in extreme conditions.
