The Siemens 243-0024 is a tiny pneumatic relay that inverts and amplifies pneumatic signals its primary function is its changeable spring range, for fine control of the relay’s output based on input pressure this relay powered by compressed air uses a force balance mechanism. The relay has a reversal action that is as input pressure increases the relay’s output pressure decreases. This can be adjusted by the adjustable spring range to meet individual application requirements. The 243-0024 is used primarily in HVAC systems, but also in a number of other control loop applications. By using signals generated by sensor devices such as thermostats or pressure transducer, the pneumatic actuator is able to control dampers valves and other such devices.
